Elis continues its growth strategy in Colombia with the acquisition of Metropolitana S.A.S

Saint-Cloud, December 21, 2018 – Elis, an international multi-service provider, offering textile, hygiene and facility services solutions across Europe and Latin America, is continuing its expansion strategy in its key markets with the signing of an agreement to acquire 100% of Metropolitana S.A.S in Colombia. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory conditions and is expected to occur by the beginning of 2019.

Metropolitana operates two plants in Bogota dedicated to operators in the Healthcare, Industry and Hospitality sectors.

Metropolitana is a family business that generated revenues of c. 4 million euros in 2017. The acquisition, which further expands the existing Elis network in the Bogota area, will enable further development in the Hospitality and Industry segments, in which Elis has little presence today.

Commenting on this announcement, Xavier Martiré, CEO of Elis, declared:
