Completion of Acquisition of 8 MAD Group Sdn Bhd
7 September 2016, Singapore
8I Holdings Ltd (ASX: 8IH) (“8IH” or the “Company”) advises that it has completed its due diligence and acquisition of 51% equity interest of 8 MAD Group Sdn Bhd (“8MG”) for RM430,000 via the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, 8IH Global Limited (“8IH Global”) following the execution of the Share Sale and Subscription agreement.
8MG is an investment holding company based in Malaysia with two subsidiaries:
i. MAD Integrated Sdn Bhd
An integrated branding and marketing communications consultancy specializing in the provision of strategic branding, public relations, digital and event marketing programmes.
ii. MAD Training Sdn Bhd
An educational training and consulting company that provides customized training and performance coaching solutions to both learning institutions and corporations.
8MG has access to potential growth companies through its subsidiaries’ activities in supporting business and brands activation. The combined revenue for 8MG in
FY2015 is RM4.1 million while the total asset is at RM1.4 million. 8MG is expected to provide the Company with a potential pipeline of investible businesses for its Private Equity Division.
