Acquisition of 68% of Rong Dao Culture Communication Co. Ltd

30 June 2017, Singapore

8I Holdings Limited (ASX: 8IH ) (“ 8IH ” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of 68% of Shanghai Rong Dao Culture Communication Co. Ltd [上海融道文化传播有限公司] (“Rong Dao”), through its subsidiary, 8IH China (Shanghai) Co. Ltd [信益安（上海）实业有限 公司] (“ 8IH Shanghai), for RMB588,704.

Rong Dao is a value investing promoter and educator in China founded by Mr Zhou Guiyin in 2016. Mr Zhou graduated from Shandong University of Finance and Economics with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He is a research specialist on value investing methodology and was previously a reowned financial commentator for a number of financial programmes in China including China Business Network Co. Ltd.

The acquisition of Rong Dao will provide the Company with access to local investment communities and a customised range of value investing programmes on offer. Following the acquisition, Mr Zhou Guiyin will head 8IH Shanghai’s programme development and value investing training in China. With his extensive knowledge and expertise in value investing, Mr Zhou develops a range of customised programmes tailored to suit China consumers’ needs.

• 8IH Shanghai’s programmes will be restructured as follows:

• Fundamental Value Investing Programme - 觉悟智慧

• Intermediate Value Investing Programme - 全息智慧

• Advanced Value Investing Programme - 般若智慧

• Trainer’s Value Investing Programme - 传承智慧

With the completion of the acquisition, 8IH Shanghai, Rong Dao and their intermediary holding company, 8IH China Pte. Ltd., will be consolidated under the Private Markets Investment reporting segment. As the business is still in its infant stage, 8IH ’s Private Markets team will act as the strategic advisor to 8IH Shanghai, providing guidance, infrastructure and capital support so that 8IH Shanghai can focus on growing the business.
