Setting Up of an Investment Fund Structure
19 January 2016 Singapore
8I Holdings (ASX:8IH) ("8IH" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has incorporated 8IH Global Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, for the purpose of holding an investment fund called the “Hidden Champions Fund” (“Fund”) to house the investment securities of the 8I Group and to tap on funds from potential external institutional investors and high net-worth individuals. The Fund will operate in a way similar to unit trust or mutual fund and will be registered with regulators and agencies in various jurisdictions for distribution permission in United States of America, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Hong Kong, including assisting to handle regulatory reporting requirements such as issuing PFIC statements for U.S. investors. The Fund will be audited by KPMG and the external custodian will be Standard Chartered Bank. The Fund will be listed with a Bloomberg ticker code with daily net asset value reporting and portfolio attribution analysis. The fund structure is expected to be fully set-up and operational by March 2016.
