The Voyageurs du Monde Group has announced that it suffered a cyber-attack during the night of 15 to 16 May.
A crisis unit was immediately set up to deploy all necessary actions. The attack has been contained and we have cut off internet access to allow our teams to work on analysing the situation with a view to a gradual resumption of activity from the beginning of next week using our back-up facilities.
Immediately after learning of the incident, our teams, surrounded by cybersecurity experts, launched investigations, and strengthened the security of our information system in order to avoid this type of incident again. From an operational point of view, telephony and email are functional, as are the client websites. We can therefore monitor our customers' current departures as well as requests for new trips.
To date, there is no evidence that any customer data has been stolen. We would like to point out that no payment data is stored on our systems. As a precautionary measure, the incident has been notified to the CNIL, the competent authority in charge of personal data protection. We have also taken all legal measures to protect the Group's interests.
Security in general is our primary concern, including the information of our employees and customers. We will continue to take all necessary measures to strengthen the security and monitoring of our information systems.
A further update will be provided as soon as we have new information.
