Changes to the Board of Directors

Dr Markus Dennler, Swissquote’s Chairman, will not be standing for re-election at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. Dr Dennler has served on Swissquote’s Board of Directors since 2005 and as Chairman since 2019 and will reach the age limit in 2026. Since taking on the role as Chairman, Swissquote’s market capitalisation has grown more than tenfold.

The Board of Directors intends to propose Mr Hans-Rudolf Köng for election as Chairman at the 2026 Annual General Meeting. Mr Köng joined Swissquote’s Board of Directors in May of this year and brings deep expertise in banking and finance, having served, among other leadership positions , more than twelve years as the CEO of PostFinance.

Dr Dennler commented: “It has been a privilege to contribute to Swissquote’s remarkable growth in recent years. After more than twenty years on the Board, the time feels right to pass the torch.” Marc Bürki, co-founder of Swissquote , added : “Markus has been an exceptional chairman. Mr Köng will join the team led by Dr Dennler in the year-end meetings with institutional shareholders. His participation in this engagement programme will give him valuable insight into this key aspect of the Chairperson’s role and help ensure a smooth and effective transition .
