ACQUISITION OF VENA CONTRACTA BUSINESS BY SODECO VALVES

On August 9, 2024, Sodeco Valves signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of the business of Vena Contracta, based in Wemmel, Belgium, for €1m paid in cash from equity.

Vena Contracta is an expert in industrial valves for very specific applications such as the transfer of aggressive or toxic fluids or processes operating at extreme pressure. The company reported sales of €1.4m in 2023. The company's suppliers are different from those of Sodeco Valves. Their product ranges and solutions are a perfect complement to those of Sodeco Valves, which will be able to deploy them more widely thanks to its market presence and logistics capabilities. Its customers, mainly in the chemicals and petrochemicals industries, are part of Sodeco Valves' traditional core target market. This will provide additional leverage for the synergies created by the merger.

Geert Thomas, 60 years old, the company's founder, manager and only employee, will continue with Sodeco Valves for at least 2 years, sharing his technical skills and market knowledge.
