Net Insight receives network expansion order from large European media operator

Stockholm, Sweden – Net Insight, leading developer of efficient and scalable optical transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, has received an expansion order from a large European media operator to expand its Nimbra based transport network.

The customer provides broadcasters and content owners with satellite and terrestrial broadcast media solutions and is driving the transition to all-digital communication networks. The company provides a large part of the infrastructure for television, radio and wireless communications in this European country.

In August 2007, Net Insight received an initial order for the first phase of a project to further extend the customer's terrestrial media network capabilities. A further extension of the Nimbra network is now being implemented, which is used to network multiple satellite uplink stations and carry IP, telephony and broadcast quality video. The network will cover approximately 15 sites including links to the USA. This new order will be delivered during the second quarter 2008.
