ÅF acquires Kvalitetsteknik NDT AB

ÅF has, through ÅF-Kontroll, acquired 100% of the shares in Kvalitetsteknik NDT AB, which is Sweden's fourth largest technical inspections company.

Kvalitetsteknik has 30 employees and offices in Trollhättan, Stenungsund, Lysekil in the south-west and Mönsterås in the south-east of Sweden. Operations focus mainly on nondestructive testing.

"Kvalitetsteknik complements ÅF-Kontroll perfectly, both geographically and in terms of expertise. I see great potential for earnings synergies," says Jörgen Backersgård, President of ÅF-Kontroll.

This takeover reinforces ÅF-Kontroll's position in the market. The company will now become the biggest name in non-destructive testing in Sweden.

"Now we can offer Kvalitetsteknik's clients the full portfolio of inspection services supplied by ÅF-Kontroll as well as our new owner's expertise in advanced NDT inspection methods.
