ÅF signs partnership agreement with SSAB Tunnplåt

ÅF has signed a partnership agreement with Swedish sheet steel manufacturer SSAB Tunnplåt in Borlänge, relating to consulting services in all the relevant areas of technical expertise, including project management. In this initial stage the agreement will run from

2008 to 2010. During the contract negotiation process SSAB reduced the number of its suppliers of technical consulting services from around 30 to just two main partners one of which is ÅF. It is anticipated that the new agreement will lead to a significant increase in ÅF s assignment volumes for SSAB Tunnplåt in Borlänge.

ÅF is active in all fields of steel industry-related technology and can provide services in project management, the reinforcement of assignment-related resources and specialist skills, full-service undertakings or feasibility studies/strategic studies, pre-engineering

and/or risk analysis work. The new agreement with SSAB Tunnplåt will lead to the recruitment of extra resources in Falun/Borlänge for ÅF, which currently has approximately 80 locally based employees in that part of Sweden.
