ÅF acquires BBK

ÅF has, through its Infrastructure Division, acquired the technical consulting company BergByggKonsult (BBK) AB, which has 12 employees in Stockholm.

BBK possesses specialist expertise in rock mechanics and rock engineering, geotechnical instrumentation and 3D laser scanning. BBK consultants are accustomed to working first and foremost with pilot and feasibility studies, project engineering, on-site inspections of construction work and site supervision. Projects are often related to underground facilities such as tunnels and rock chambers, and to surface facilities with foundations in rock.

BBK clients include the Swedish nuclear fuel and waste management specialist SKB, Stockholm's regional transport authority (SL), Vattenfall and Sweden's national administrative bodies for rail (Banverket), road (Vägverket) and properties used by the Swedish armed forces (Fortifikationsverket).
