Enlarged breakthrough order for new Anybus product

HMS Networks previously this year communicated a break through order when one of the world's leading manufacturers of inverter drives within industrial automation decided to use new Anybus Technology in one of their new products. This order has now been extended to a total of SEK 3.6 m for adapting the technology to more products. At full production the annual sales volume is estimated to SEK 30 m.

The previously announced order involved development projects to a value of SEK 1 m and an estimated annual sales volume of SEK 10 m.

• This order implies that we immediately will employ several engineers to develop new Anybus products. The increase in our staff will take place within our software development department but also within hardware and project management, says Nicolas Hassbjer, CEO of HMS.

Inverter drives are used in most areas of industrial automation to control speed and torque of electrical motors. A substantial reduction in power consumption is the main driver within this area of automation. This order means that the customer will use the Anybus technology also in Servo drives for Motion Control.

• The enlargement of this order gives HMS a substantial addition to our long term sales growth. The development of these products will take place during 2009 and some of the products will start shipping already during the second half of 2009. The major impact on HMS sales will take place during 2010 and the following years which will contribute to the HMS sales growth also in a weaker market situation, says Nicolas Hassbjer, CEO of HMS.
