Net Insight supply expansion for Digital Terrestrial TV network in East European country

Stockholm, Sweden – Net Insight, leading developer of efficient and scalable optical transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, has been selected to supply its Nimbra platform for the next phase of the Digital Terrestrial TV distribution network in an East European country.

In November 2008, Net Insight received a first order for a nationwide DTT network in this East European country. The network will be built in phases and this new order is for the next rollout phase.

The DTT network will be based on Net Insight's Nimbra platform to distribute uncompressed and compressed video (HD-SDI, SD-SDI and ASI) across the country. The network will also provide scalable multicast capabilities and incorporate Net Insight's unique Time Transfer feature for GPS-free time synchronization. Nimbra Vision will provide the operator with powerful and ease of use network management with end-to-end service provisioning.

The expansion order was received in cooperation with SIS (SviazInformService LLC), a systems integrator partner that provides engineering, design, installation and support services across most countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Equipment deliveries will start immediately.
