Alfa Laval wins SEK 120 million petrochemical order in South Korea

Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has received an order for the unique Alfa Laval Packinox plate heat exchangers, which will be used in the production of mixed Xylene in a petrochemical plant in South Korea. The order value is about SEK 120 million and delivery is scheduled for 2010.

"This order underlines Alfa Laval's strong position in the petrochemical industry where we in recent years have seen a good development particularly in the aromatics business," says Lars Renström, CEO and President of the Alfa Laval Group.

Did you know that the unique and compact Alfa Laval Packinox plate heat exchanger can be up to 20 meters long and weight up to 300 tons and that Xylene is an ingredient that among other things is used for PET bottles?
