NCC Construction Sweden has signed a contract with Töcksfors Handelspark AB to build the first stage of Töcksfors Retail Park in Årjäng Municipality in Sweden. The first stage will comprise a total of 34,500 square meters divided between two major two-storey buildings with an adjacent outdoor facility.
The contract includes both technical infrastructure and construction and will allow construction to begin in the autumn of 2009. The retail park is expected to be completed before Easter 2011.
The new retail park will have a lettable area of 71,000 square meters and will be the closest border retail facility in relation to Oslo, about 90 kilometers to the west. The retail park will offer megastore shopping with a broad selection of consumer and specialty products.
Töcksfors Retail Park is the first of a total of four retail parks to be established by Skandinaviske Handelsparker AS. Other retail parks are planned in Charlottenberg, Skee and Stenungssund.
Töcksfors Retail Park AB is owned by Skandinaviska Handelsparker AS, which in turn is owned by Conceptor Eiendomsutvickling AS (25%) and DnB Nor Eiendomsfond I AS (75%).
The order is conditional upon Töcksfors Handelspark AB achieving a 75-percent occupancy rate and obtaining satisfactory construction financing.
