Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has signed a global agreement with StatoilHydro for plate heat exchangers and spiral heat exchangers. The agreement, which runs over a five-year period, can be extended for up to four years.
The global frame agreement means that StatoilHydro - one of the world's largest offshore oil production companies – names Alfa Laval the preferred supplier of plate and spiral heat exchangers. The agreement can be used in any project where StatoilHydro acts as an operator or technical service provider.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us to further strengthen our relationship with a pioneering customer like StatoilHydro" says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group. "It also reflects our strong position as supplier of energy efficient solutions to the oil and gas industry."
Alfa Laval has cooperated with StatoilHydro for the last 10 years in various oil and gas projects where Alfa Laval heat exchangers play a vital role.
Did you know that… Alfa Laval equipment is used onboard all StatoilHydro's oil production platforms in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea – and that more than 95% of all oil produced in this area passes through Alfa Laval heat exchangers?
Alfa Laval is a leading global provider of specialized products and engineering solutions based on its key technologies of heat transfer, separation and fluid handling.
