Net Insight receives expansion order from Towercom for Digital Terrestrial TV network

Stockholm, Sweden – Net Insight, a leading provider of efficient transport solutions for media, broadcast and IP networks has received an expansion order from Towercom, a media operator in Slovakia for the next phase of its national Digital Terrestrial TV distribution network.

Towercom provides a nationwide analogue and digital television and radio network and placed a first order in October for a national Digital Terrestrial TV distribution network in Slovakia, which was followed by an expansion order in December. The DTT network is based on Net Insight's Nimbra platform and this order covers the third phase of the network.

The Nimbra platform has several unique features for Digital Terrestrial TV such as Time Transfer for GPS-free time synchronization. In addition, Nimbra offers a flexible and cost-effective solution for delivering advanced multimedia services in media networks with guaranteed quality of service.
