NCC Construction Sweden has been commissioned to expand the E45 Highway between Agnesberg and Bohus into a four-lane highway. The phase is included in the highway expansion program between Gothenburg and Trollhättan. The client is Bana Väg i Väst, through the Swedish Road Administration, and the order value is nearly SEK 340 million.
The road section between Agnesberg and Bohus, which is 2.7 kilometers long, will be widened into a four-lane highway. NCC's assignment also includes constructing an interchange with connecting local streets outside Surte.
The phase is the fifth assignment allotted to NCC in the expansion between Gothenburg and Trollhättan, which will facilitate commuting between the districts by car, bus and rail.
The highway project will commence immediately and is scheduled for completion in May 2012. The project will employ an average of about 50 people.
The order will be registered in the first quarter of 2010.
