Arise Windpower signs agreement for eight 2.0 MW turbines from Vestas for the Idhult wind farm under construction

Arise Windpower AB today signed an agreement covering eight Vestas 2.0 MW turbines, to be delivered during the autumn of 2010. The turbines are intended for the Idhult wind farm in Mönsterås municipality, which has received a permit and has thus begun construction.

The eight turbines, with an aggregate output of 16 MW, will be dispatched under the previous frame agreement between Vestas and Arise Windpower for 60 turbines.

The Idhult wind farm is Arise Windpower's fifth. The anticipated start‐up date is prior to year‐end 2010‐2011, in line with the company's expansion plans.
