Veidekke: To build a Hoxton hotel in Oslo

Veidekke: To build a Hoxton hotel in Oslo

Møller Eiendom and AB Invest (Buchardt) have commissioned Veidekke to build a

new hotel near the government quarter in the center of Oslo. The contract is a

collaborative contract worth approximately NOK 350 million excluding VAT.

"We are proud to be chosen to build this hotel, which will be completely unique

and will have a concept we do not currently have in Oslo. Both the design and

the location make this an important addition to the city. We are now looking

forward to working closely with Møller Eiendom, AB Invest and Hoxton on the

construction work," says Morten Barreth, Head of Department at Veidekke Bygg

Oslo.

The new hotel will be almost 8,000 m2 spread over nine floors above ground and

two basement floors, while the outdoor areas will face the upcoming government

park. The hotel will have 152 rooms, meeting rooms, a gym, a bar and

restaurants. It will become part of the rapidly growing Hoxton family with

popular hotels in London, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona and Los Angeles, among

others.

"We are experiencing a good climate of cooperation and a common understanding to

deliver a building that meets high standards for quality, price and

functionality. The Hoxton Oslo is an ambitious project that will add a new and

vibrant meeting point to the city - and with Veidekke on board, we have great

faith that the vision will be realized, says Project Developer Gunnar Oveland at

AB Invest.

Construction work will start in a couple of weeks with a planned handover in the

fall of 2027. Read more about the project here (https://mollereiendom.no/the

The contract will be included in Veidekke's order backlog for the fourth quarter

of 2025.
