Kinepolis Group Business update Q3 2025 Regulated information - 23 October 2025

Business update third quarter 2025

As previously noted, the film lineup this summer fell short compared to that of 2024. In September, however, 'The Conjuring: Last Rites' and 'Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle' performed significantly better than anticipated.

In the third quarter, the demand for more experience continued to grow and the strategy of maintaining focus on this appears to be paying off. Kinepolis once again delivered strong results per visitor thanks to higher consumption per visitor and an ongoing commitment to premium film experiences, such as IMAX, ScreenX and event cinema. A healthy balance sheet, combined with innovative strength, enables Kinepolis to invest in these offerings and continue pushing boundaries.

The fourth quarter is traditionally the most important quarter of the year. With blockbusters such as 'Zootropolis 2', 'Wicked: For Good' and 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' on the programme, the year-end looks promising.

Key figures1 third quarter 20252

  • ★ Revenue per visitor increased compared to the third quarter in 2024, thanks in part to the commitment to premium cinema experiences.
  • ★ Kinepolis welcomed 11.1% fewer visitors in the third quarter and 3.1% fewer since the beginning of the year compared to 2024. July and August were impacted by a less favourable comparison basis due in part to the success of 'Inside Out 2' in 2024.
  • ★ Total revenue, EBITDA, EBITDAL (EBITDA adjusted for rent) and net profit decreased compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date, all these indicators are showing positive results.
  • ★ Net financial debt (excluding lease liabilities) remained at almost the same level compared to 31 December 2024.

Important achievements

  • ★ Opening of several IMAX theatres, notably in Hasselt, Enschede and Valencia. In November, openings are planned in Almere, Breda and Nanaimo, British Columbia.
  • ★ Immersive Jurassic World ScreenX experience in Brussels, Metz and Madrid.
  • ★ Start of Hans Van Acker as Chief Strategic Businesses & Development.

Kinepolis Group Business update Q3 2025 Regulated information - 23 October 2025

Eddy Duquenne, CEO Kinepolis Group, on the third quarter:

"Last year, we had three blockbusters - 'Inside Out 2', 'Deadpool & Wolverine', and 'Despicable Me 4' that each attracted over a million visitors in the third quarter. This summer, only 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' managed to reach that milestone. Moreover, French cinemas had to do without exceptional domestic hits like 'Un p'tit truc en plus' the year before.

The perceived value of a cinema outing and the experience offered has never been higher, but predicting the success of films remains challenging. The broader the offering, the greater the chances of success. Both the end of 2025 and the year 2026 appear to present many opportunities in that regard. Financially, we remain particularly strong, which also creates opportunities."

Notes

Kinepolis welcomed 11.1% fewer visitors in the third quarter compared to the third quarter in 2024. This decline can be explained by a number of films that performed less strongly and the success of 'Inside Out 2', 'Deadpool & Wolverine' and 'Despicable Me 4' last summer.

The top 5 for Q3 2025 were 'Jurassic World: Rebirth', 'Superman', 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps', 'F1' and 'The Conjuring: Last Rites'. For the full year 2025 (until the end of September), 'Lilo & Stitch' tops the top five, followed by 'Minecraft', 'Jurassic World: Rebirth', 'How to Train Your Dragon' and 'F1'. The most successful local films in the third quarter were 'Padre no hay más que uno 5' in Spain, 'Rutger, Thomas & Paco' in the Netherlands and 'Y a pas de réseau' and 'Falcon Express' (Pets on a Train) in France and Belgium.

Total revenue in the third quarter of 2025 was lower than in the same period of 2024, in line with lower visitor numbers and thus explained by a less favourable comparison basis due to the success of, among others, 'Inside Out 2' in 2024.

In contrast, revenue per visitor increased, both in terms of ticket sales (Box Office) and drinks and snacks (In-theatre Sales), thanks to the popularity of premium cinema experiences and higher consumption per visitor.

Total revenue, EBITDA, EBITDAL (EBITDA adjusted for rent) and net profit decreased compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date, all these indicators show positive results.

Key events since 1 July 2025

Opening of new IMAX theatres

Kinepolis and IMAX Corporation announced on 31 March 2025 an expansion of their partnership to include 9 new state-of-the-art IMAX® Laser screens in Europe, the US and Canada. This agreement allows Kinepolis to significantly expand its IMAX offering. Following the opening of a new IMAX theatre at Kinepolis Lomme (FR) and MJR Troy (US), IMAX screens were also opened earlier this month at Kinepolis Hasselt (BE), Enschede (NL) and Valencia (ES). Further openings are planned for November in Almere (NL), Breda (NL) and Nanaimo, British Columbia (CA).

Immersive 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' ScreenX experience in Brussels, Metz and Madrid

In collaboration with Universal Pictures International and CJ 4DPLEX, Kinepolis transformed its ScreenX theatres in Brussels (BE), Saint-Julien-lès-Metz (FR) and Madrid Ciudad de la Imagen (ES) into the remote and forbidden island of Jurassic in early July, complete with equatorial habitats, immersive ambient sounds, atmospheric lighting and, of course, dinosaurs. It is the very first time a ScreenX venue has been completely themed for a single film. The launch followed the success of Kinepolis' Minecraft 4DX theatre in Antwerp earlier this year and underlines Kinepolis' commitment when it comes to immersive cinema.

Start of Hans Van Acker as Chief Strategic Businesses & Development

Mr Hans Van Acker, formerly Managing Director of Kinepolis' film distribution activity KFD, was appointed Chief Strategic Businesses & Development. In addition to managing KFD and Brightfish (the Belgian screen advertising sales house), he's responsible for managing and developing new strategic activities since the beginning of August 2025.

Sale of Landmark Port Alberni

Landmark Cinemas ceased operations at the Landmark cinema in Port Alberni, British Columbia, on Thursday 25 September 2025. The cinema was sold and has been operated by the Canadian Mental Health Association - Port Alberni Branch (CMHA-PA) since 1 October 2025, under new ownership. It concerns a small cinema with a single auditorium that no longer aligns with the Group's portfolio.

Renovation Landmark Nanaimo

The renovation of the Landmark cinema in Nanaimo, British Columbia, started earlier this month. The cinema, located in the Woodgrove Shopping Centre, will be equipped with an IMAX auditorium, a Laser ULTRA auditorium (Kinepolis' own Premium Large Format) and recliners including Premiere Seats. The renovation will occur in two phases and is expected to be fully completed by mid-2026. The first phase focuses on the opening of the IMAX auditorium, scheduled for 14 November. In the second phase, scheduled for completion in 2026, all the auditoriums will be integrally fitted with recliners in a full-

stadium configuration. A row of Premiere Seats will also be provided in each auditorium. With these concepts, Landmark Nanaimo will provide the ultimate movie-going experience for Vancouver Island film lovers.

Line-up 2025

In the coming weeks and months, the top films on the programme include 'Roofman', 'The Running Man', 'Predator: Badlands', 'Now You See Me 3', 'Wicked: For Good', 'Zootopia 2', 'Five Nights at Freddy's 2' and 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'.
