Åsa Bergman new President of Sweco Sweden

Åsa Bergman has been appointed as new President of Sweco Sweden. Åsa Bergman is currently President of Sweco Management and the appointment will be effective soonest.

Åsa Bergman is 44 years old and has a M.Sc. in civil engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. She has worked for Sweco since 1990. In 1999 she was appointed Regional Manager, in charge of Sweco's project managers in northern Sweden. Since 2006, she has been President of Sweco Management, with responsibility for Sweco Sweden's project management business.

Sweco Sweden is the country's leading provider of consulting engineering services and Sweco's largest business area, with more than 3,100 employees in some 50 locations.

Åsa Bergman succeeds Eva Nygren, who will leave Sweco for a position as President and CEO of Rejlers.
