ÅF appointed as principal technical consultant for new nuclear power plant in Brazil

Through its Swiss subsidiary, ÅF Consult Switzerland, ÅF has won an international tender for the implementation of Unit 3 at Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Station (CNAAA) in Angra dos Reis in the state of Rio de Janerio. The agreement is expected to be signed in January/February.

The owner of CNAAA is Eletrobrás Termonuclear S.A - Eletronuclear (ETN), a subsidiary of Eletrobrás, which is a large stock listed company and has the Brazilian state as its principal owner.

The tender won by ÅF is valued at almost 14 million Swiss francs, the equivalent of approximately SEK 100 million.

ÅF came first in the category of Technical Support Services related to Owner's Responsibilities at International Level, which means that ÅF has been appointed as principal technical consultant.

The ÅF services is planned to start in the first quarter of 2012 and be completed in 2015.
