Sandvik celebrates its 150th anniversary today, 31 January 2012

In connection with Sandvik's 150th anniversary, we have the pleasure of announcing the following.

Sandvik makes a 25 MSEK contribution to a foundation

Sandvik is offering 25 MSEK for the establishment of a foundation for the purpose of promoting, broadening and strengthening the local business community. Using the funds provided, the "Foundation for the promotion of business development in Sandviken" will make venture capital available to developing companies.

"For Sandvik, it is important that the district of Sandviken develops favorably and has a varied business community. We want to help make this happen and this is one way to do it," says Olof Faxander, Sandvik's President and CEO.

Sandvik 150 Corporate Bond

As a further step in the anniversary celebrations, Sandvik is offering the opportunity to invest in "Sandvik 150 Corporate Bond" in lots of 10,000 SEK. The bond is aimed at the general public and thus offers the opportunity of a direct investment in Sandvik, at the same time as it accentuates the company's efforts to achieve a broad investor base for borrowing. Handelsbanken will act as the arranger and detailed information will be made available at www.sandvik.se and www.handelsbanken.se and at Handelsbanken's branches as of 6 February 2012.
