ÅF to modernise factory for NKT Flexibles

ÅF has signed a contract with NKT Flexibles to provide services as principal technical consultant in conjunction with a modernisation project at NKT's manufacturing facility in Kalundborg, Denmark.

The order is worth SEK 65–70 million for ÅF.

The project involves upgrading the factory's machine control systems and establishing an IT system for overall production control and traceability. ÅF is responsible for project management, design, implementation and supply of hardware, software and electrical installations. The project will be carried out in a number of phases and is scheduled for completion in 2016.

NKT Flexibles produce special pipe systems for the offshore oil and gas industry.
