INTERMARINE (GRUPPO IMMSI): INIZIATA LA LAMINAZIONE DELLO SCAFO DELLA PRIMA UNITÀ CACCIAMINE DI NUOVA GENERAZIONE DESTINATA ALLA MARINA MILITARE

Sarzana (SP), 25 settembre 2025 – Intermarine S.p.A. (Gruppo industriale IMMSI – IMS.MI) ha avviato quest'oggi presso lo stabilimento di Sarzana l'attività di laminazione dello scafo in vetroresina del primo Cacciamine di Nuova Generazione commissionato dalla Marina Militare.

La cerimonia di laminazione è avvenuta alla presenza del Presidente della Regione Liguria, Marco Bucci, del Direttore degli Armamenti Navali, Ammiraglio Ispettore Capo Giuseppe Abbamonte, del Presidente e dell'Amministratore delegato del Gruppo Immsi, rispettivamente Matteo e Michele Colaninno, dell'Amministratore delegato di Intermarine, Livio Corghi, oltre ad alte autorità locali: un momento di grande importanza per Intermarine, per la Marina Militare e per l'industria navale italiana.

Con la stesura del primo telo prende forma una nuova Classe di Unità Navali altamente all'avanguardia e uniche nel loro genere, dotate delle tecnologie più innovative che estendono la capacità dei Cacciamine verso i nuovi scenari operativi per la difesa dei fondali e delle infrastrutture critiche subacquee.

Modularità, Interoperabilità e capacità di Multi-Missione sono i pilastri sui quali poggia la complessa architettura di queste Unità Navali di nuova concezione che alle tradizionali caratteristiche del cacciamine (resistenza a shock generati da esplosioni subacquee, amagnetismo e silenziosità) affianca le più moderne tecnologie ed un estensivo uso di mezzi autonomi per operare in tutto lo spettro underwater.

I Cacciamine di Nuova Generazione Costieri, grazie alle caratteristiche esclusive degli scafi (resistenza a shock generati da esplosioni subacquee e bassa segnatura magneto-acustica) a cui si aggiungono le potenzialità operative offerte dalle più moderne tecnologie del sistema di combattimento - quali sonar e comando e controllo multi-dominio, comprensivo della gestione integrata di veicoli unmanned - saranno in grado di assolvere un ampio spettro di missioni.

Con una lunghezza di 63 metri e un dislocamento di circa 1.300 tonnellate, i CNG/C si distingueranno per la capacità di poter condurre operazioni di bonifica operando all'interno di campi potenzialmente minati garantendo la sicurezza degli equipaggi, impiegando diverse tipologie di mezzi autonomi come moltiplicatori di efficacia e potenziamento delle capacità di scoperta e difesa.

INTERMARINE (IMMSI GROUP): LAMINATION OF THE HULL OF THE FIRST NEW-GENERATION MINEHUNTER FOR THE ITALIAN NAVY BEGINS

Sarzana (La Spezia), 25 September 2025 – Today at the Sarzana shipyard, Intermarine S.p.A. (IMMSI industrial group – IMS.MI) launched fibreglass lamination of the hull of the first New-Generation Minehunter commissioned by the Italian Navy.

The lamination ceremony – an event of great importance for Intermarine, for the Italian Navy and for the Italian shipbuilding industry – was held in the presence of the President of the Liguria Region, Marco Bucci, the Director of Naval Armaments, Chief Inspector Admiral Giuseppe Abbamonte, the Chairman and the CEO of the Immsi Group, respectively Matteo and Michele Colaninno, the CEO of Intermarine, Livio Corghi, and senior local officials.

The application of the first layer gives shape to a new class of unique state-of-the-art minehunters, equipped with cutting-edge technologies that extend the vessels' operational capabilities in the new era of seabed surveillance and protection of critical underwater infrastructures.

Modularity, Interoperability and Multi-Mission capabilities are the cornerstones of the complex architecture of these new-generation vessels, which combine traditional minehunter characteristics (resistance to shocks generated by underwater explosions, non-magnetism and silent operation) with advanced technologies and extensive use of autonomous vehicles to operate across the whole underwater spectrum.

Thanks to the exclusive characteristics of the hulls (resistance to shocks generated by underwater explosions and low magneto-acoustic signature) and to the operational potential offered by the latest combat system technologies – such as multi-domain sonar, command and control, including integrated management of unmanned vehicles – the New-Generation Minehunters will be able to perform a wide variety of missions.

With a length of 63 meters and a displacement of approximately 1,300 tonnes, the NGM/C will be distinguished by their ability to conduct mine countermeasures operations inside minefields, guaranteeing crew safety and using different types of autonomous vehicles as force multipliers and capability gap fillers.
