NCC sells office property in Denmark

NCC has sold an office building, Company House Tangen, in Aarhus, Denmark, for SEK 175 million. The buyer is PenSam Commercial Properties and the sale will have an impact on earnings during the first quarter of 2013.

The building comprises nearly 8,000 square meters of office space and is fully leased to the IT company ATEA A/S, which will take occupancy of the premises on February 15, 2013. The building will house ATEA's new head office with about 400 employees.

"This is our second sale this year in the Danish market. I view this as a confirmation that our solutions within sustainable offices are in demand and that we occupy a strong position as one of the leading property developers in Denmark," says Joachim Hallengren, President of the NCC Property Development business area.

ATEA's head office has been developed as a GreenBuilding property and is another NCC property aiming for BREEAM certification at the Very Good level. The new head office will be one of the most modern and sustainable office buildings in Aarhus, with leading-edge IT solutions for the control of heating, ventilation, cooling, lighting, sun screening and acoustics.

The sale will be recognized in profit in the NCC Property Development business area.
