Publication of ESG and Sustainability Report

Gore Street Energy Storage Fund plc, the internationally diversified energy storage fund, is pleased to announce the publication of its fourth ESG and Sustainability Report.

This latest report reflects a significant year of growth for the Company, with the portfolio's energised capacity more than doubling to 753.4 MW / 924.1 MWh.  

The Company qualifies as an Article 8 product under the European Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and reports on Principle Adverse Impacts (PAIs) including greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint, and Board gender diversity, which are included in this report. The report also details the work with industry to standardise a methodology for avoided emissions to improve transparency and comparability. The Company continues to report against voluntary frameworks such as the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI).

Key highlights of the ESG & Sustainability Report include:

  • The Company's energised capacity increased from 421.4 MW / 394.1 MWh to 753.4 MW / 924.1 MWh.

  • The operational fleet avoided 11,970 tCO2e and stored 39,290 MWh of renewable electricity, enough to power c.14,500 homes for a year1.

  • The Company implemented innovative solutions to further advance its high standards of Health & Safety, while continuing to support communities up and down the value chain.
