Sonia González Valverde

Career

Sonia González Valverde leads the Global Real Estate Investment Strategies team at Shell Asset Management Company ('SAMCo'). The team is responsible for developing and implementing real estate strategies. The team is also responsible for investment performance on behalf of various SAMCo clients and, in particular, real estate investments.

In addition, she is a member of various advisory and investment committees across the US, Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Shell Asset Management Company, Sonia González Valverde was Senior Investment Manager at CBRE Global Investors (2011-2013). Prior to that, she held various positions within ING Real Estate, culminating in her appointment as Senior Investment Manager at ING Real Estate Select (2005- 2011).

Sonia González Valverde is involved in various professional organisations. She is a member of the Technology in Real Estate Committee at INREV and of the Board Companions at INSEAD Alumni, among others.

Education

She obtained a Master's degree in Business Economics from Loyola University of Andalucía, in collaboration with E.S.S.E.C. Grande École de Commerce, Paris. She also obtained a Global Management Certification and an International Directorship Certificate from INSEAD, where she is also an alumna.
