**Ice hockey rights**

**Strong start to the season: MySports has secured exclusive rights for all the live NHL games** **– get an annual MySports subscription at a discounted price until the end of September 2025

-   **Sunrise secures the rights for live National Hockey League (NHL) games: The 2025/26 season of the world’s most spectacular ice hockey league kicks off on 7 October 2025. In Switzerland, up to 300 live NHL games, including all the games from the Stanley Cup play-offs and the Stanley Cup Final, will be available to watch exclusively on MySports.

-   **The 2025/26 season of the National League, Switzerland’s premier ice hockey league, starts on 9 September 2025 and MySports will be thrilling viewers with the MySports documentary format «Inside Plus» featuring the incredible story of the successful coach Jeff Tomlinson.

-   **Anyone who signs up for an annual MySports subscription with a TV provider or for the MySports app in good time will get to watch two months of ice hockey free of charge. Sunrise TV customers will enjoy four months at half the price.**

After [extending its media partnership with the National League until 2035](https://app.schedulr.ch/trace/visit/639e5d77-4509-47be-953d-155871352f63) , Sunrise has also been able to extend the exclusive media rights to the National Hockey League (NHL) for MySports. This means MySports is once again setting the standard for the ultimate ice hockey experience on TV for the 2025/26 ice hockey season.

In addition to up to 300 live NHL games, including all the Stanley Cup play-off games and the Stanley Cup Final, MySports customers will also be able to watch all National League games from the start of the season through to the championship title. While the puck to mark the start of the 2025/2026 season will be dropped in Switzerland on 9 September, the NHL will commence on 7 October.

Exclusive broadcasting rights, strong partners and innovative TV formats, such as the studio and in-stadium concept, will ensure top quality, bring fans closer to the action and deliver an unrivalled ice hockey premium offering on MySports. Fans can also watch additional games on free TV: In partnership with TV24, selected NHL games and highlights will be broadcast free-to-air.

**Start of the season and «Inside Plus» featuring the incredible story of Jeff Tomlinson**

The regular season for all 14 National League clubs is set to start on Tuesday, 9 September. MySports will broadcast all seven games that evening live – along with all 364 games in the regular season and all the games in the play-offs.

To mark the start of the season, MySports is also broadcasting the latest episode in the MySports documentary format «Inside Plus». It tells the incredible story of Jeff Tomlinson, who enjoyed success as a coach at the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and at EHC Kloten. His declining health forced the popular Canadian to step down as a coach in 2024. But this wasn’t just due to his well-publicised kidney problems. Inside Plus reveals that Jeff Tomlinson is virtually blind.

The episode documents vividly how the 55-year-old spent two seasons on the sidelines without being able to see clearly and succeeded in coaching EHC Kloten to promotion. «Jeff Tomlinson – Blind Faith» will be available to watch on the MySports App from 19:45 on 9 September and will be broadcast on TV for the first time on 12 September on channel «MySports ONE».

**Get the MySports annual subscription with great terms**

Sunrise TV customers who opt for an annual MySports subscription by 6 October 2025 will only pay half price for the first four months. TV customers of other providers will get two months free of charge when they sign up for a MySports annual subscription, if they decide to do so before the end of September 2025.
