Ad hoc announcement

Niederweningen, 14 August 2025  | Ad hoc announcement pursuant to article 53 listing rules

Daniel Schippan will become division president of Bucher Emhart Glass and a member of group management at Bucher Industries with effect from 1   January   2026. He succeeds Matthias Kümmerle, who, as previously announced, will become CEO of Bucher Industries after the 2026 annual general meeting.

Daniel Schippan is a proven expert in the glass industry. In 2007, he founded cm.project.ing GmbH headquartered in Jülich (Germany), a service company for the glass industry, and has been managing the company ever since. Prior to that, he held various management positions in this sector. The 53-year-old is a German citizen. He holds a master’s degree in metallurgy and materials engineering and a PhD from RWTH Aachen University (Germany). Daniel Schippan will join Bucher Emhart Glass on 1 October 2025 and, following an induction period, will take over as division president and become a member of group management at Bucher Industries with effect from 1 January 2026.

At the same time, Bucher Industries intends to acquire cm.project.ing GmbH, headquartered in Jülich. This service company, which specialises in the planning and implementation of projects, engineering work and consulting services for the glass industry, will be integrated into the Bucher Emhart Glass division. The company generates sales of EUR 8 million with around 45 employees. With this acquisition, Bucher Emhart Glass will further strengthen its market position and broaden its range of services. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of August 2025.
