Press Release

Stockholm, Sweden, 23 January 2018

Norwegian economic crime authority (Økokrim) announces decision to appeal

Following the Oslo District Court's acquittal decision (announced 10 January 2018) in the case against Ola Rollén, Hexagon's President and CEO, the Norwegian economic crime authority (Økokrim) announced today its decision to appeal.

"I speak on behalf of the Board and everyone else who has supported Ola since the beginning of this ordeal that we stand united with him," said Gun Nilsson, Hexagon's Chairman of the Board. "This decision doesn't change anything; thus, Ola will continue as President and CEO with the Board's full support."

As stated in a separate press release by Ola Rollén's defense attorney Mr. Christian Hjort, a motion to the Court of Appeal to dismiss the appeal by Økokrim will be filed soon, as it is evident that the appeal will not succeed.

In conclusion, the public statements made by Rollén's defence team, that the charges were based on a misinterpretation of the factual and legal issues in the matter, are supported in the unanimous verdict which can be read in full here.
