Chanel store expansion in Stockholm

During 2019, Chanel will expand its store space in the Hufvudstaden property at Birger Jarlsgatan 7 in Bibliotekstan. The store will increase in size from the current 200 square metres to around 500 square metres spread over two floors. The newly expanded store is expected to open in autumn 2019.

"Hufvudstaden's aim is to offer successful retail and office tenants prime business locations in central Stockholm and central Gothenburg. We are therefore extremely pleased that Chanel has chosen to broaden its operations in a Hufvudstaden property in Bibliotekstan," says Ivo Stopner, President, Hufvudstaden.

The expansion of the Chanel store is entirely in line with Hufvudstaden's strategy of developing the area around Biblioteksgatan. Chanel's centrally located store on Birger Jarlsgatan will help to further reinforce Bibliotekstan as one of the foremost shopping destinations in Scandinavia.
