Ahlsell continues to invest in its logistics center in Hallsberg, Sweden, and Wästbygg Group's subsidiary Logistic Contractor has been entrusted with the construction of two buildings totaling 42,000 sqm and a cold warehouse of 15,000 sqm. The order value amounts to SEK 600 million.
Certification according to Breeam level Excellent will ensure the buildings' long-term sustainability in important areas such as energy use, materials and indoor climate.
– This is a very interesting project where we look forward to contribute with our specialist expertise in logistics facilities to enable for Ahlsell's to expand further. Ahlsell signed an agreement with Hallsberg municipality to acquire the land earlier this year and now we are all ready to get started, says Benn Karlberg, CEO of Logistic Contractor AB.
The work on detailed planning will begin immediately and the new facility will be handed over to Ahlsell at the end of 2024.
