COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT

The following is a company announcement issued by Malta Properties Company plc ("MPC" or the "Company") pursuant to Listing Rule 5.174.2 of the Capital Markets Rules issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Transactions Involving Substantial Shareholdings

The Company has been notified that Emirates International Telecommunications (Malta) Limited ("EITML"), a private company registered under the laws of Malta with Maltese company registration number C 38658 (a Substantial Shareholder of the Company in terms of the Capital Markets Rules) has entered into a share purchase agreement (the "SPA") with BMIT Technologies p.l.c. ("BMIT") a public company registered under the laws of Malta with Maltese company registration number C 48299.

Pursuant to the SPA, EITML promised to sell and deliver, and BMIT promised to purchase and acquire, forty-nine million six hundred and forty-two thousand one hundred and thirty-nine (49,642,139) ordinary shares in the issued share capital of the Company.

The conclusion of the transaction is dependent on a number of conditions precedent being satisfied and therefore may or may not conclude.

The Company will make further announcements as and when necessary.
