Prevas strengthens its commitment to defense and cybersecurity by joining SOFF

Prevas, an established partner to companies in the defense and cybersecurity sectors, is now reinforcing its presence in the field by becoming a member of SOFF – the Swedish Security and Defense Industry Association. SOFF represents companies active in defense, cyber defense, and civil security. This membership marks an important step in Prevas' longterm strategy to contribute advanced technological expertise in areas where reliability, resilience, and innovation are critical to the safety and security of society.

"The need for stronger defense and enhanced cybersecurity is growing rapidly in an increasingly uncertain world," says Magnus Welén, CEO of Prevas. "Prevas already holds a strong and expanding position in this domain, and we are now scaling up our capabilities even further. One example is our membership in SOFF, which strengthens our ability to collaborate with actors who share our values around quality, sustainability, and responsibility. We look forward to actively contributing to both innovation and national preparedness."

Prevas currently generates close to SEK 250 million in revenue from projects in defense, cybersecurity, and civil security.

SOFF is a leading industry association with around 350 member companies active in areas such as cybersecurity, communications systems, defense technology, logistics, and critical infrastructure. Among its members are several of Prevas' current and potential customers and partners – including Saab, Ericsson, SKF, Mildef, Invisio, Aimpoint, BAE Systems, and Nammo.

"Through SOFF, we gain a platform to deepen our collaboration with defense and security-focused companies," says Magnus Welén. "We're already a significant player in industries operating in safetycritical environments, where we lead numerous assignments and projects related to defense, cyber defense, and civil resilience. We strongly believe in the power of collaboration – and we know that our experience in embedded systems, systems integration, cybersecurity, and sustainable production development will make a real difference in this context."

Prevas has extensive experience operating in regulated and safety-critical environments – from medical technology and energy to defense. Becoming a SOFF member is a natural step in strengthening the company's presence and relevance in an industry where technical reliability and innovation go hand in hand.
