New Prospecting Licence Awarded in Botswana

Arkle Resources (AIM: ARK) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a prospecting licence in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in Northeastern Botswana. The licence PL 0238/2025 covers 775sq km and is adjacent to the Company's two existing licences covering 837sq km. The objective of the prospecting is to discover lithium in the brines. Work completed by Arkle to date has identified depths of brines across the ground. Lithium was identified in all samples as well as significant magnesium grades.

John Teeling, Chairman, commented : "Lithium is designated as a "critical metal" meaning there is an imbalance between expected future supply and demand. Explorers are turning from discovering and developing hard rock lithium to lithium brines mainly in salt pans. Technology is advancing in this area particularly in recoveries from the brines. Work done to date on our ground has discovered lithium traces and good grades of magnesium. The new extraction technology for lithium also recovers the magnesium. We have a plan to drill our two existing licences which will be revised following the award of this new licence."
