One million passengers in June: after April and May, also in June the passengers of Bologna Marconi Airport recorded a six-figure result, reaching the number of 1,068,751 units, substantially in line (-0.1%) with the same month of 2024.
In detail, passengers on international flights reach 790,230 (-0.2% on June 2024) while domestic flights score 278,521 passengers (+0.1% on the same month of 2024). Movements, at 7,474, recorded a decrease of 1.0% compared to June 2024, while freight, equal to 3,757 tons, marked a decline of 2.4%.
The preferred destinations of June 2025 were, in order: Catania, Tirana, Barcelona, Palermo, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Cagliari, Istanbul, Brindisi, Bucharest Otopeni and Madrid, with the Sardinian city that shines for an increase in passengers of 20.1% on June 2024. The busiest day of the month was Sunday 22, with 40,091 passengers between arrivals and departures.
In the first half of the year total passengers of Marconi were 5,296,521, up 5.1% over the same period of 2024, while movements were 38,019, up 2.9% over the corresponding period of 2024.
Freight in the first six months of the year were 22,307 tons, with a slight decrease (- 1.3%) over the same period of 2024.

The company's aim is to make Bologna Airport one of the most modern and functional in Italy, an important gateway to the city and region.
