Re: The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. - Immediate Report

Notice is hereby given that, on April 13, 2021, a Claim has been filed against a subsidiary of the Company, The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. (hereinafter: "The Phoenix Insurance") and against 14 additional Defendants (banks, insurance companies, investment houses and credit companies; hereinafter together: "the Defendants"), accompanied by a request for approval as a class action, in the Tel - Aviv District Court (hereinafter collectively: "the Claim").

According to the Plaintiffs, while using the Defendants' digital services (while browsing the customers' personal accounts), private, personal, and confidential information of the customers is transferred to third parties without their consent and while infringing their privacy.

The Plaintiffs noted that two other requests for approval of class action claims were filed in the Tel - Aviv District Court (among others, against two of the Defendants) which deal with principled issues which are similar to the issues that are the subject of the Claim.

The Plaintiffs point out that at this stage, there is a difficulty in quantifying the total alleged damage and estimate that the aggregate, pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage of the alleged group amounts to NIS millions.

At this stage, The Phoenix Insurance is studying the details of the Claim, and therefore the chances of its approval as a class action cannot be assessed, and if it is approved, the chances of its success cannot be assessed.

The date on which the Claim was received by The Phoenix Insurance is April 13, 2021 at 09:45 a.m.
