Subject: KONČAR signs EUR 117.9 million contracts with HŽ Putnički prijevoz d.o.o.

KONČAR – Electric Vehicles Inc. and HŽ Putnički prijevoz d.o.o. have signed two new contracts, further reinforcing their long-standing cooperation. The agreements, with a combined value of EUR 117.9 million, were officially signed on 30 June 2025.

Under the first contract, KONČAR will deliver five state-of-the-art electro-diesel multiple units (EDMUs) tailored for intercity and regional operations, at a contract value of EUR 55.8 million. The first unit is to be delivered within twenty-four (24) months, with the final train expected within twenty-eight (28) months from the date of contract execution.

The second contract, worth EUR 62.1 million, includes the development and delivery of four battery electric multiple units (BEMUs) and four battery-powered motor units, alongside the installation and commissioning of two stationary charging stations on Croatia's railway network. The schedule calls for delivery of the first train within thirty-one (31) months and charging infrastructure within thirty (30) months, with full contract execution completed within thirty-eight (38) months.

These rail vehicles are the result of KONČAR's proprietary R&D, developed internally with collaborative support from multiple subsidiaries within the KONČAR Group.
