Re: A Claim accompanied by a motion to certify the Claim as a class action against The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. Notice is hereby given that a Claim has been filed in the Central District Court in Tel � Aviv against a subsidiary of the Company, The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. (hereinafter: "The Phoenix Insurance"), accompanied by a motion to certify the Claim as a class action, in the Tel � Aviv Central District Court (hereinafter collectively: "The Claim").The matter of the Claim is that The Phoenix Insurance has collected and continues to collect from policyholders, additional premium for extending insurance coverage for preventive surgeries, even though these surgeries are covered, allegedly, at the basic layer in The Phoenix Insurance's health policies.The plaintiff's argument is based, according to the Claim, on The Jerusalem District Court's decision to certify the conduct of a class action lawsuit against The Phoenix Insurance and another insurance company (See details in the Immediate Report dated January 25, 2022 (Reference No. 2022-01-010338) and in Note 43A1 (24) to the Company's financial statements as of December 31, 2021, which were published on March 29, 2022 (Reference No. 2022-01-036997). It was also noted that a similar motion for approval of a class action is pending against another insurance company.In the plaintiff's assessment, the cumulative damage to the members of the alleged group stands at a total that exceeds (by far) NIS 2.5 million.At this stage, The Phoenix Insurance is studying the details of the Claim, and therefore the chances of its approval as a class action cannot be assessed, and if it is approved, the chances of its success cannot be assessed. false
