Re: A Claim accompanied by a motion to certify the Claim as a class action against The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. - Immediate ReportNotice is hereby given that a claim has been filed against a subsidiary of the company, The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. (hereinafter: �The Phoenix Insurance�), along with a request to approve it as a class action, in the Central District Court (hereinafter: �the claim�).The subject matter of the claim is that if the holder of comprehensive vehicle insurance has an insurance incident for which he submitted an insurance claim and/or a demand and/or an application for insurance benefits, and he decides to repair his vehicle at a garage that is not on the list of The Phoenix Insurance�s �garage arrangement�, even though The Phoenix Insurance approves the appraiser's assessment, it deducts various amounts from the insurance benefits, claiming that the garage can purchase vehicle parts from its supplier at a price that is lower than the price of these parts to the consumer, and thus, according to the claim, the policyholder receives insurance benefits after the fact that it do not cover the actual cost of the damage caused to him as determined by the appraiser.The total amount of damage claimed for all members of the group was not estimated by the claimant, but he has stated that the estimated damage exceeds a total of NIS 2.5 million.At this point in time, The Phoenix Insurance is examining the details of the claim, and therefore it is not possible to estimate the chances of it being approved as a class action and, if it is approved, it is not possible to estimate its chances of success.. false
