Re: A Claim and a Motion to Certify the Claim as a Class Action Against The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. (subsidiary) - Immediate ReportNotice is hereby given that a Claim has been filed at the District Court Tel Aviv-Yafo against a subsidiary of the Company, The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. ("Phoenix Insurance"), accompanied by a motion to certify the claim as a class action ("Claim").The matter of the Claim is that policyholders who were insured under the "Personal Accidents" addendum, whether privately and/or collectively (which grants entitlement to weekly compensation for loss of work capacity in the profession as a result of an accident), and were recognized as incapacity to work, were paid compensation limited to a fixed period of only one or two years, even though they lost their ability to work in their profession permanently or for a period longer than one or two years, this is when the personal accidents addendum and the insurance details page did not include any time limit for the payment of compensation except for retirement age.The plaintiffs damage assessment for all the group members is claimed to be approximately NIS 80 million. At this stage, Phoenix Insurance is studying the details of the Claim, and therefore the chances of its approval as a class action cannot be assessed, and if it is approved, the chances of its success cannot be assessed. false
