Re: A Claim and a Motion to Certify the Claim as a Class Action Against The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. (subsidiary) - Immediate Report Notice is hereby given that a claim has been filed against a subsidiary of the Company, The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. ("Phoenix Insurance") along with a request to approve the lawsuit as a class action, in the Central District Court ("Lawsuit"). The subject of the Lawsuit is the claim that Phoenix Insurance is unlawfully rejecting "image-guided injections" claims of all types, allegedly due to a lack of insurance coverage and/or paying an amount lower than the insured's entitlement for such claims. This relates to health insurance policies that include surgery coverage and extensions for surgery-replacing treatments. it is claimed that the total damage to all group members cannot be estimated at this stage, but the plaintiff noted that the estimated damage exceeds NIS 2.5 million. The plaintiff noted that a similar request for certification of a class action is pending against four other insurance companies. At this stage, Phoenix Insurance is studying the details of the Lawsuit, and therefore, it is not possible to assess the chances of its certification as a class action, and if certified, it is not possible to assess the chances of its success. false
