REC Silicon - Update to Frequently Asked Questions and Response to Investigation

Moses Lake, Washington USA June 20, 2025: REC Silicon ASA ("REC Silicon" or the "Company") announces the publication of an update to the frequently asked questions and accompanying answers (the "FAQ").

The FAQ responses to stakeholder requests on topics related to the voluntary offer by Anchor AS. The FAQ will be available on the Company's website www.recsilicon.com and may be updated as needed.

With respect to the request for an extraordinary general meeting and investigation in REC Silicon ASA made on May 16, 2025, by Ro Sommernes Advokatfirma DA on behalf of Water Street Partners, Ltd., Bay Street Associates, Ltd., Alexander Street Partners, Ltd., and Polar Fund, Ltd., the Company conducted an internal review with an external law firm on the factual matters raised in the request and found no wrongdoing by the Company. If a Norwegian court orders an investigation into the factual matters of the request, the Company will provide the information requested by such order.

REC Silicon does not have sufficient available cash to meet debt service and other anticipated operating cash flow requirements for this year without the continued support of the major shareholder, Hanwha, or additional sources of capital. Therefore, it will soon require additional financing either from Hanwha or from other sources of capital, none of which have yet been finalized or guaranteed.

As previously disclosed, REC Silicon continues to evaluate and look for other financing options and mitigative actions. However, the timing and feasibility of such options are uncertain.
