Title: Patent approval by the US Patent and Trademark Office

The Management Board of XTPL ("Issuer", "Company", "XTPL") herebyreports that in the evening of 11 May 2022 it received information aboutthe conditional approval of a patent for the Company by the UnitedStates Patent and Trademark Office for its method of forming lines ofseveral hundred nanometers wide using the XTPL-developed silver nanoink,i.e. for the patent application "METHOD FOR REMOVING BOTTLENECKS". Inparticular, the invention facilitates the removal of possible localbottlenecks in the lines deposited during the printing process, therebyincreasing the lines' electrical conductivity and their current andmechanical strength.
The final formal requirement for obtaining the patent is to pay thepatent fee by 20 July 2022. Should the requirement not be met, theCompany will communicate this in a separate current report.
The application procedure for this patent was initiated on 6 June 2018.This is also the date when patent protection started for the invention.The Company's portfolio currently includes 24 patent applications and atotal of 2 patents granted.
The patent protection will increase the value of the potentialcommercialization of the Company's technology with respect to theIssuer's technological solutions for the next generation electronicsmarket. The reported event confirms continued delivery of the Company'sstrategy of building a patent cloud for its proprietary technology andproducts, which will contribute to building the Issuer's credibilityamong potential industrial clients.
In view of the above, and considering the confirmation of uniqueness ofthe Company's technological solutions, and then the outlook for theIssuer's perception by investors, the Issuer's Management Board hasdecided that the conditional decision to grant the patent to the Companyshould be deemed inside information. For this reason, in the opinion ofthe Management Board, the information about the conclusion of theAgreement meets the criteria set out in Article 7(1) of the MAR.
