Slitherine and Creative Forge join forces to create a brand-new development studio

Slitherine Poland to work on both original and licensed IPs

Slitherine, a UK publisher, and developer, the world leader in the creation and distribution of strategy games and hard-core wargames is joining forces with Creative Forge Games, a Polish producer of games specializing in strategy games, listed on NewConnect.

The new Warsaw-based studio is called Slitherine Poland, and it will work on both original IPs and licensed products. The collaboration between Slitherine and Creative Forge started in 2020, with the still ongoing development of Stargate: Timekeepers and Ancient Arenas: Chariots. The two companies have decided to cement their collaboration and extend it to other projects.

"Most of our development efforts are done through existing third-party partners", said Iain McNeil, CEO of Slitherine. "Opening a new internal development studio is a big step in the direction of having full control over key projects, but it's also an investment in people, and in a country that is thriving and has the professional ability to deliver high-quality products for a competitive market".

Slitherine Poland is already operative and working. It includes both professionals that were already working on the aforementioned projects and new hires. More personnel will be added in the coming months.

"The aim of Slitherine Poland is to combine the development skills of Creative Forge and the development and publishing experience of Slitherine", said the CEO of Creative Forge Games, Piotr Karbowski. "It is also a fundamental step in the direction of increasing the team's focus entirely on the production of the games and leaving all other tasks to Slitherine".

Slitherine Software UK Ltd is the majority shareholder of Slitherine Poland. The new studio allows the British publisher to develop on the Polish market and Creative Forge to be a fundamental part of its growth. Slitherine Poland is already actively working on the completion of Stargate: Timekeepers and Ancient Arenas: Chariots. More projects will be announced soon.
