Inclusion onthe list of entities recommended for co-financing a research project -an important element of the implementation of the Strategy
Management Boardof VIGO Photonics S.A. (_quot;Company_quot;, _quot;Issuer_quot;) informs that today itreceived information about the publication of the Issuer's projectentitled _quot;Long-wave cascade detectors for spectroscopy and FSO_quot;(abbreviated: _quot;Project_quot;) on the List of positively assessed projects inthe first call for proposals for the Smart Path of the European Fundsfor a Modern Economy Program.
A positiveassessment of the project does not mean concluding a contract orgranting funding. After completing the project evaluation process, PARPhas now started verification activities related to granting co-financingfor positively assessed projects.
The total amountof eligible costs of the Project is PLN 13,958,559.25, and the amount offunding is PLN 9,371,626.00, which constitutes 67.14% of the total costseligible for support.
The duration ofthe Project and the funding is 36 months. Project implementation willstart on January 1, 2024.
The projectenvisages the implementation of an R_amp;D module which will includeindustrial research and development work aimed at developing thetechnology of cascade infrared detectors and detection modules. Theresult of this project will be new products in the form of a family ofsensors: cascade detectors made of III-V materials with an active areafrom a type II superlattice, optimized for the long-wave infrared range_#8805; 10.6 _#181;m, operating without cryogenic cooling, and detection modulesbased on them, i.e. cascade detectors integrated with amplifying andaccompanying electronics. These will be:
•Detectors anddetection modules with a long-wave immersion cascade detector forspectroscopy applications.
•Fast detectorsand modules with a bandwidth of _#8805; 3 GHz with a long-wave immersivecascade detector.
•32 elementcascade detector lines and cascade detector line modules.
These will benew products intended mainly for foreign markets for manufacturers ofoptoelectronic systems. The final result of the project will be thedevelopment of all stages of detector technology.
Taking intoaccount the value of the subsidy obtained, the Issuer estimates that itwill be of significant importance from the point of view of thefinancial situation, implementation of the strategy and developmentprospects of the Issuer.
Theimplementation of the Project is a continuation of the implementation ofthe assumptions of the Company's Strategy for 2021-2026, which theIssuer informed about in current report No. 12/2021 on June 16, 2021.
