Bologna, 16 June 2025 – Marzocchi Pompe S.p.A. (EGM:MARP), leading company in the design, production and marketing of high-performance gear pumps and motors, announces that an agreement has been signed with the trade unions for an incentive-based reduction of the workforce on a voluntary basis. It concerns 22 people, in addition to those who have already left or resigned: priority will be given to employees who will accrue their retirement rights by 31/12/2026.
Gabriele Bonfiglioli, CEO of Marzocchi Pompe, commented: "As early as mid-January, as communicated in conjunction with the preliminary figures for the financial year 2024, it was clear that the recessionary economic phase that is severely affecting the industrial sector worldwide, and in particular the automotive sector in Europe, unfortunately made it necessary to reorganise our structure to adapt it to the changed market conditions. This became even more necessary as in recent months not only have the factors that led to the slowdown in global trade, primarily the war events with which we are all familiar, not changed, but on the contrary, the heavy tariffs imposed by the US administration have further worsened the scenario. However, we are convinced that we have reached a satisfactory solution both for the people involved and for the company, which will lead us to a significant rationalisation of our workforce, an indispensable prerequisite for tackling, with our usual determination, the difficult moment that the manufacturing sector is going through globally.".
