Le résultat, non audité, pour les trois premiers mois de l'année est négatif, du fait de la baisse du dollar face à l'euro, qui a particulièrement impacté le portefeuille de Private Equity.

Au 31 mars 2025, les capitaux propres par action de Brederode s'élevaient à € 138,98, en baisse de 1,7% depuis le début de l'année. Cette évaluation se fonde sur les prix de marché pour les titres cotés et, pour le Private Equity, sur les valorisations non auditées fournies par les gestionnaires (General Partners), couvrant plus de 90% des encours.

### PORTEFEUILLE PRIVATE EQUITY

Le portefeuille de Private Equity a enregistré une perte de € 74,73 millions au cours des trois premiers mois de l'année. Les distributions (€ 90,44 millions) ont dépassé les appels de fonds (€ 75,02 millions).

Durant cette période, les nouveaux engagements ont représenté € 96,01 millions. Le total des engagements non appelés se monte à € 1 198,78 millions au 31 mars 2025. La valeur des investissements en Private Equity atteint € 2 783,43 millions, soit environ deux tiers des actifs totaux de Brederode.

Au cours du premier trimestre la position en Experian a été renforcée, tandis que la position en Nestlé a été réduite. Un dividende en actions a été reçu d'Iberdrola.

### STRUCTURE FINANCIERE

En fin de période, Brederode et ses filiales faisaient état d'un endettement financier net de € 48,75 millions. Elles bénéficiaient de lignes de crédit confirmées à hauteur de € 350 millions.

### PERSPECTIVES POUR L'EXERCICE EN COURS

Les secousses économiques multiples ayant émaillé les premiers mois de l'année ont sans surprise fait réagir les marchés financiers, toujours inquiets de la dérive des déficits publics des économies développées. Dans ce contexte, le dollar a baissé nettement face à l'euro et les General Partners ont vu s'éloigner la perspective d'une baisse des taux intérêts.

Grâce à la maturité et à la qualité de son portefeuille de Private Equity, la situation de liquidité de Brederode s'est encore améliorée au cours du premier trimestre. Cependant, cette tendance reste fragile et Brederode poursuit prudemment sa politique de souscription d'engagements nouveaux. La qualité et la diversification du portefeuille de Private Equity et du portefeuille de titres cotés constituent des avantages pour affronter la volatilité à venir.

Net loss for the period: € 69.63 million

The unaudited result for the first three months of the year was negative, due to the fall of the dollar against the euro, which particularly impacted the Private Equity portfolio.

As at March 31, 2025, Brederode's equity per share amounted to €138.98, down 1.7% year-to-date. This assessment is based on market prices for listed securities and, for Private Equity, on unaudited valuations provided by managers (General Partners), covering more than 90% of the portfolio.

## PRIVATE EQUITY PORTFOLIO

The Private Equity portfolio recorded a loss of €74.73 million in the first three months of the year. Distributions (€90.44 million) exceeded capital calls (€75.02 million).

During this period, new commitments amounted to €96.01 million. Total uncalled commitments amounted to € 1,198.78 million as at 31 March 2025. The value of Private Equity investments amounts to € 2,783.43 million, or about two-thirds of Brederode's total assets.

#### FINANCIAL STRUCTURE

At the end of the period, Brederode and its subsidiaries had a net financial debt of €48.75 million. The confirmed credit lines amounted to €350 million.

#### OUTLOOK FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR

The multiple economic shocks that have punctuated the first months of the year have unsurprisingly caused the financial markets to react, amidst worries about the drift of public deficits in developed economies. In this context, the dollar fell sharply against the euro and General Partners saw the prospect of a cut in interest rates fading.

Thanks to the maturity and quality of its Private Equity portfolio, Brederode's liquidity situation further improved during the first quarter. However, this trend remains fragile, and Brederode is cautiously pursuing its policy of underwriting new commitments. The quality and diversification of both the Private Equity portfolio and the listed securities portfolio are key strengths in a context of mounting volatility.

#### PRIVATE EQUITY PORTEFEUILLE

## PORTEFEUILLE BEURSGENOTEERDE EFFECTEN

De portefeuille van beursgenoteerde effecten genereerde een winst, inclusief nettodividenden, van € 6,60 miljoen per 31 maart 2025.

In het eerste kwartaal werd de positie in Experian versterkt, terwijl de positie in Nestlé werd verkleind. Er werd een stockdividend ontvangen van Iberdrola.

## FINANCIËLE STRUCTUUR

Aan het einde van de periode rapporteerden Brederode en haar dochterondernemingen een netto financiële schuld van € 48,75 miljoen. Ze hadden kredietlijnen van € 350 miljoen bevestigd.

### EVOLUTIE LOPEND BOEKJAAR

Het is niet verwonderlijk dat de vele economische schokken die de eerste maanden van het jaar hebben geteisterd, ertoe hebben geleid dat de financiële markten hebben gereageerd, nog steeds bezorgd over de ontwikkeling van de overheidstekorten in de ontwikkelde economieën. In deze context daalde de dollar sterk ten opzichte van de euro en zag General Partners het vooruitzicht van een renteverlaging vervagen.

Dankzij de maturiteit en de kwaliteit van de Private Equity-portefeuille verbeterde de liquiditeitssituatie van Brederode in het eerste kwartaal verder. Deze trend blijft echter fragiel en Brederode zet haar beleid van het onderschrijven van nieuwe engagementen voorzichtig verder. De kwaliteit en diversificatie van de Private Equity-portefeuille en de portefeuille van beursgenoteerde effecten zijn voordelen om toekomstige volatiliteit het hoofd te bieden.
